Mavis Staples Newark Concert reviews
Motley Crue
$90 for parking at a stadium concert is ridiculously high, but I expect to pay high prices.
Since I have never been to sofi, I only have myself to blame for the terrible seats.
It was very difficult to understand what the band was saying as the sound quality really suffered. I think it was an issue with sound engineering because it was really muffled.
I am glad I got to see the whole lineup in concert, but I will never go to sofi again for a concert. One thing I have to add is that they have a tremendous amount of security throughout the parking area and stadium, so that was a plus - you don't have to walk to your car and feel unsafe.
Adam Levine Delivered!!!
Mavis Staples at Alice Now and Zen in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco years ago. I have been a fan ever since, I first saw. They seem to get better as the years go by and never disappoint. Not only was the venue amazing but the vocals and his endless energy was contagious! (BTW, Adam Levine's parents attending school at UC Berkeley and he believes he was conceived nearby). I must confess....I love Adam!
One Republic opened for them. I have always like their music but the performace was unexpected. I was expecting them to sound mediocre with all the studio bands nowadays. I have to admit that it was better live than on the cd. And a shout of to Ry Cumings! What a delight but what took us 2 days to find his name and music.
This is a "must see" event. You will leave energized! You will not ne disappointed.
